Students must satisfy both household income requirements and student eligibility criteria to qualify. Participating schools and interested parents/guardians work together to enroll students.

Physical Education

PE at St. John Lutheran School is held twice a week for each class. The program provides a variety of activities and fitness structure to achieve specific student standards. Mrs. Sharp encourages reading and studying on physical activity as well as proper nutrition/healthy eating habits, and positive life changes. Her teachings provide an engaging environment where students can develop personally and socially. They grow as individuals and learn to work in groups and in teams. They also develop concepts of fairness and the importance of personal and social responsibility. Physical Education exists to help students make healthy choices for their bodies and provides a foundation for long term healthy habits. She helps students understand major muscle groups and organ functions with physical activity, hand-eye coordination, balance, and locomotive vs. non-locomotive functions. Mrs. Sharp provides a Christ-centered approach to plan monthly fitness goals, promote interest in health, and to build physical strength and skills.
